Burgos...

What a gorgeous old city....arrived by bus today from Navarette & will begin to walk th meseta tomorrow....lets hope we get a fair way along in the next week or so....then we will reassess....but now hope to finish the pilgrimage from here.
But I would like to say to everyone who has responded to our blogs...you will never know just how much all your supportive messages mean to us...we were feeling very low & emotional for a few days after Tues over the mountain....we were almost ready to give up....& to read all your messages of support had us both in tears a couple of times....we have been very emotional....don´t really understand why but thinmk it is because of all we went through. That mountain was bigger in many ways than even we can realise....probably not making much sense at the moment but that´s how it is. We have definitely drawn closer these last days.
Apologies to Peter...we were not being critical...more saying just how underprepared we were...& we know it was our own fault. ...thanks for your message back....we will have a very different Camino to the Carlsons.
Ronnie...we were Lost in France (Spain) ......
Mum & Dad....can you please advise who we are buying for this Xmas
Love to all

oh my god... dont tell me this walk is so hard... when you are planning xma shooping,..(but for me.. i'd love something spanish!!)

i have no doubt you guys will conquer this on a level that you are happy with. i too had heard this trail is exceptionally busy.. so to imagine trying to find a decent bed each night so you are fully rested for the next day is unimaginable.
thinking of you
x d&m (whose kiddies arrive in a week... yay!!)

I stand and applaud you both and if you tell anyone I said that I'll deny it.
Hmmm, Spain, Xmas shopping.

Hi Pilgrims
Glad you sound a bit stronger, love all that "don't know what it is about stuff"..that's what makes life worthwhile, soak it in but don't try and work it out it is part of the journey
For xmas we would like a pretty Spanish senorita and a bull with big horns any colour will do.
Here is your new song:
I was lost in Spain
In my shoes my feet were stinging
I was lost in Spain
And the walk was just beginning
As I stood there in so much pain
This wonderous feeling ,it just came
I was lost in Spain,in LOVE
Have fun
Take care
love

Hopefully Burgos will be like 'take 2'...and start again!!! The idea of a bit of walking and a bit of a bus trip occasionally seems like an option to consider! I'm sure you're buying for me though I'll let Mum check. Don't feel you have to get me that heavy ceramic platter just yet... Sounds like vino and tapas are just the thing at the end of a long day. Hang in there and looking forward to the next installment. Love M-M

Glad to hear your spitits are up a bit more, you had me worried last week. Like m-m says, time for take two.

Had my hair chopped to collar bone length today, looks pretty good and ashleigh thinks so too. Also applied to a couple more places that I saw on Sat, missed out on the last one. Nothing much else, just plodding along.

Hope your new start is better than the last.
Love you both and miss being able to talk (hope the texts are getting through). Travel safe x x

Good morning,
Saturday, Bootcamp. We decided on a 20km walk within the next month, Wello Point to Cleveland Point, return. No big hills, but at least we'll have an idea of the distance you're travelling. The things you make us do!............or is that inspire us to do?

Hello Tina & John

Keep on the good fight, we are thinking of you, Kevin says it brings back memories of Kokoda (Kevin's philosophy (I love walking up and down hills!!). Some more bushwalking for you both when back in Aussie!! Our thoughts are with you, sorry we have not blogged sooner. I have been reading about your treking adventure and following your steps on the map.
Keep walking you both can conquer!
Take care.
Cheers Christine & Kevin
