Have just read some of the comments from others of you....thanks & it´s good to hear from you Kevin & Christine....& Claire as well...I know you´d looove the vino tinto here....it´s so very drinkable
Kevin...this is nothing like Kokoda....not as much mud for a start....& no Fuzzy Wuzzy angels....we have Spanish angels instead
The weather here is much cooler that we had imagined...we start the day in our jerseys but they come off within the first 30 mins....but go back on when we stop for a cafe con leche (milk coffee)
Love to all....work hard

ok... we have spent 10 hrs today walking around Rome.. and our feet are killing us. So we are truly getting a hint of what you are going through. Fortunately for us there is always a bar with 'due cappucini' for us to take a break at.

The kids arrive at 6am tomorrow. They sent sms from KL and are both exhausted already. Hopefully they get some sleep on this last leg of the flight so they are up for the cobblestone streets of Rome and a visit inside the Colosseum tomorrow arvo.

Good luck for some more good walking days.

xD&M

PS.. I am off to the Farmacia to find anything from the Dr Scholls range that will help my feet.

PPS.. Oh God.. Mark is whispering over my shoulder that he is like John, also from good breeding stock!! Good grief when will they realise it is because their ancestors were in the fields scurrying around to serve our ancestors!!

Great to see you are getting into the swing of things now and getting some km's under your belts.

Had my first scary night at the budgens alone, there was a possum making noises that had my heart racing every so often. Bloody thing. Had call from Nonna though which made me feel a bit better.

Work is still plodding along, probation should be finishing in the next week or so. Am feeling fairl confident about it all as they are still teaching me new stuff and seem to be happy, no negative feedback at all.

Missed out on both the apartment I looked at last weekend. All it is coming down to is that the owners are choosing someone else, the agency said my applications are in the top 3. Off to look at some more hopefully today so wish me luck that I'll get something soon.

Happy Mother's Day for sunday mum. Have a glass of vino tinto on us. Missing haveing you on te other end of the phone for a whinge etc. Love you both and keep enjoying x x

PS forget about the Germans!!

Hi again J & T
Sorry to hear your feet & legs are sore Tina, maybe John might massage them for Mother's Day.

Hey John, are you still wearing the belt or have your trousers fallen in a heap around your ankles?
No Tina, Kerry & I have not forgotten you, we follow your progress daily- keep the updates coming even though you're probably exhausted by the days end. And sitting at a computer would be the last thing on your mind. We all look forward to our daily dose of your adventures..frogs,cuckoo birds, hobbit village etc.. sounds delightful.
Tina, much love to you for a very different, but wonderful Mother's Day. Love to you both, stay safe and keep enjoying your wonderful adventure.

Kerry & Paula
